Are you a passionate leader who takes pride in delivering exceptional standards? We're looking for an experienced Housekeeping & Facilities Manager to inspire our housekeeping team, maintain outstanding presentation across our hotel, and help create memorable stays for every guest.
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a vital department where no two days are the same. Working closely with our Head of Commercial and Maintenance team, you'll play a key role in ensuring our hotel operates seamlessly while leading, developing, and motivating a high-performing team.
Job responsibilities:
Inspire & Lead
- Lead, coach and develop the housekeeping and facilities team to deliver exceptional service every day.
- Recruit, train and support team members, creating a positive and motivated working environment.
- Carry out regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and development.
- Build strong relationships across departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Deliver Outstanding Standards
- Oversee all housekeeping operations across guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house and laundry.
- Ensure every area of the hotel consistently meets the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Carry out regular inspections and implement improvements where needed.
- Respond to guest feedback and resolve issues quickly and professionally.
Keep the Hotel Running Smoothly
- Support the Maintenance Manager in coordinating repairs and reactive maintenance to minimise disruption.
- Manage external contractors and service providers when required.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, fire safety and environmental legislation.
- Develop and maintain housekeeping procedures, standards and best practices.
Drive Performance
- Plan staffing levels and schedules to maximise productivity.
- Manage departmental budgets and control costs without compromising quality.
- Oversee linen, uniforms, cleaning products and housekeeping inventory.
- Produce operational reports, maintain compliance records and monitor key performance indicators.
Qualifications or desired skills:
We're looking for someone who enjoys leading people, thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and takes genuine pride in maintaining exceptional standards.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous management experience in housekeeping, facilities or hotel operations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- A solid understanding of Health & Safety legislation and compliance requirements.
- Experience managing budgets, stock and operational performance.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and hotel management systems.
