The team at Stoke by Nayland Resort is seeking enthusiastic and passionate people to join the kitchen team. We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant/Porter to work alongside our chefs in a busy commercial kitchen environment. We are looking for individuals to become an essential part of our kitchen team who share our energy and passion to contribute to our ongoing success. Full and part-time hours are available.
Staff accommodation available.
Job responsibilities:
- Ensuring the kitchen remains clean and organised, and that all the cooking and service equipment is cleaned in an efficient manner
- Assisting with accepting food and other kitchen-related deliveries
- Supporting chefs with basic food preparation, such as peeling, washing food items etc.
- Keeping the kitchen free of waste, including food waste and packaging
- Supporting chefs and kitchen staff by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Understanding and maintaining excellent health & safety within your work area

- Energetic
- Passionate about the hospitality industry
- Has a willingness to learn new skills and be an active team player
- Has the ability to handle pressure well
- Is punctual and respectful
- Demonstrates a flexible approach to work and duties undertaken
- Is of clean and smart appearance
