Night Receptionist/Porter

Stoke by Nayland Resort is looking for an experienced Night Receptionist/Night Porter to join the team on a full-time basis.
This hands-on role would suit a motivated individual with a positive outlook and natural interest in learning new skills and being organised. You will be professional and friendly and always ready to provide our guests with a warm welcome. As the first and last point of contact with our guests, you must have a genuine warmth and passion for delivering hospitality and ensuring our guests receive an exceptional guest experience.
Job responsibilities:
- Hosting and managing night reception
- Welcoming guests and processing check-in and check-out
- Providing information on hotel facilities and services, as well as the surrounding area
- Guest billing and invoicing controls
- Confirming all aspects of room reservations
- Running the Night Audit procedure
- Providing First Aid response
- Overseeing the safety and security of the building, staff and guests
- Developing and maintaining standards
- Evening and morning handover of tasks and checklists
Qualifications or desired skills:
- Excellent IT and administrative skills
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- A proactive individual with a positive approach to work
- First Aid qualified to 3-day or equivalent
- Experience working with a POS & FOH system
- Excellent organisational skills and a good eye for detail
- The ability to work alone and as part of a team
- Previous experience of working on a hotel reception is preferred for this role
