We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and customer focused Wedding & Event Sales Executive to join our Sales Team at Stoke by Nayland Resort.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, has a passion for creating memorable experiences and thrives in a sales focused environment. You will play an important role in promoting and selling our Resort facilities, products and services, with a particular focus on weddings, events, conferences and golf.

The role also works closely with our Events Department, meaning evening and weekend availability is an essential part of the position.

From the first enquiry through to the big day itself, you will build strong relationships with couples, corporate clients and event organisers, ensuring every detail is managed professionally and every guest receives an exceptional experience.

Job responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

  • Respond promptly and professionally to wedding, event, conference and golf enquiries.
  • Promote and sell the Resort's facilities, packages, products and services.
  • Prepare accurate quotations, proposals and booking information for clients.
  • Follow up enquiries effectively to maximise conversion and generate additional business.
  • Meet prospective clients and conduct Resort viewings where required.
  • Use upselling and cross-selling techniques to maximise sales opportunities.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of Resort packages, promotions and offers.
  • Build strong relationships with couples, bookers, corporate clients and event organisers to encourage repeat business.
  • Carry out post event contact to obtain feedback and identify future booking opportunities.
  • Assist with the delivery of the Sales Strategy across weddings, events, conferences and golf.

Weddings & Events

  • Coordinate weddings and events from the planning stages through to the event itself.
  • Act as a key point of contact for couples and clients, providing reassurance and professional support throughout their journey.
  • On the wedding day, coordinate proceedings through to the first dance, ensuring the couple and their guests receive an exceptional experience.
  • Work closely with the Events Department and other Resort teams to ensure events run smoothly.
  • Attend internal function and operations meetings to discuss upcoming business where required.
  • Ensure effective handovers between Sales, Events and other departments.

Customer Experience

  • Deliver a consistently professional, friendly and personalised service.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and clients by telephone, email and in person.
  • Manage customer feedback professionally and work towards positive outcomes.
  • Resolve issues efficiently, minimising complaints and encouraging repeat business.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with guests, bookers and corporate customers.
  • Follow the Resort's guest journey procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Use the CRM system effectively to record, manage and track enquiries and maximise conversion opportunities.

Commercial & Financial

  • Actively convert enquiries into confirmed business and maximise revenue opportunities.
  • Work towards departmental sales and profit targets.
  • Ensure bookings and billing information are accurate.
  • Ensure discounts are applied in accordance with company procedures.
  • Liaise with the Sales Manager regarding dip dates and availability.
  • Ensure all financial and accounting aspects of bookings are dealt with accurately and promptly.

Teamwork

  • Work closely with colleagues across all Resort departments to maximise service and sales opportunities.
  • Support the wider Commercial and Events teams with daily tasks and operational requirements.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication and handovers.
  • Complete daily checklists and assigned tasks to the required standard.
  • Attend team meetings, training and development sessions.
  • Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with the Resort's dress code.
  • Work collaboratively and courteously with colleagues at all times.

Compliance

  • Understand and comply with your responsibilities under GDPR and data protection legislation.
  • Follow the Resort's Health & Safety and Environmental Health requirements.
  • Complete all required statutory and company training within the appropriate timescales.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.

  • Flexible and willing to work evenings and weekends, as required to support weddings and events.

Experience within wedding sales, events, hospitality, hotel sales, conferences or a similar customer facing sales environment would be advantageous.
