Planning the ultimate spa getaway reunion with friends
Here at Stoke-by-Nayland Resort recently, we’ve been enjoying the sound of clinking Champagne glasses and wafts of good food linger over your long-awaited laughter. The time has finally arrived. Lockdown is over and it’s the summer – we can start to socialise with friends and family again – and what a feeling that is. All those long-awaited hugs, conversations, giggles and good times can recommence. There’s much catching up to do.
One of the things at the top of everyone’s bucket list has of course been booking a getaway. There’s never been a better time to let go, treat yourself, and enjoy a tranquil getaway at our in-house Peake Spa with luxurious treatments and use of our fabulous indoor pool, samarium, steam room, Jacuzzi, and concept shower. All this followed by a comfortable night’s sleep in one of our spacious and stylish hotel bedrooms.
For those of you who haven’t visited before, our spa is located in a picturesque setting in the Dedham Vale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We also have a superb golf course if you’d like to bring a partner or if you’re after a girls-only break, look no further.
Many of you have been in touch about booking spa reunions – don’t worry, we do still have some availability for this summer – so we thought we’d share some ways you can make the most out of your trip with us. Here are a few things to think about while you’re in the exciting throes of planning your spa break; our guide to planning the ultimate spa getaway.
#1 Who is your spa break for? Decide what kind of spa break you’re looking for. We have everything from a Mum’s spa escape and friends or hen-do gatherings to couples escapes or mother and daughter retreats. We also have a whole host of treatments to suit each of these themes. Do get in touch if you don’t find what you’re looking for, I’m sure we’ll be able to create something with you in mind.
When considering your party size, please do ask when making your booking, if you would like more than two rooms to be close to one another. We will always do our best to accommodate. Let’s face it, it’s always handy to pop into your friend’s room for a pre-dinner glass of bubbles while you’re getting ready.
#2 Direct bookings: Consider booking directly with us to enjoy a host of benefits including a full English breakfast included in all packages, our price match guarantee, no hidden booking costs, priority upgrade to the next room category, free Parking, free high-speed WiFi and access to exclusive offers.
#3 Select your treatments. Decide whether you’d like to book one treatment during your stay, several treatments over a slightly longer break, or whether you’d like to book a package to be taken over the course of the day. We have different packages for every occasion. In particular, our Rasul Mud Therapy experience (£35 pp) is a really fun thing to do with small groups. It’s an Arabian cleansing ritual for two to four people at a time, a great and fun experience to share with friends or as a couple. Once the mud is applied, you relax with your friends on heated mosaic ‘chairs’ in the exotic Rasul Suite whilst the room gently fills with herbal steam. It’s utter bliss!
#4 Plan your meals: Whether you’re the type of foodie who likes to read the menu in advance and plan what you’ll be eating beforehand or you’re simply open to discovering what’s on offer during your stay, you might need to book ahead and make a reservation for bigger groups. Don’t forget to check out the options from our formal Lakes Restaurant, The Gallery Grill, afternoon tea, Sunday lunches, and the Orchard Lounge for cocktails – there are plenty of options for you to feast on. You can also experience our award-winning cuisine and upgrade your package to include dinner.
