Join us on Sunday 22nd November for an evening of wine, delicious dining, and fascinating insight from Flagstone’s Head Winemaker, Gerhard Swart.
Enjoy a four-course tasting menu paired with a selection of Flagstone wines, including Tributary Chenin Blanc, Poetry Cinsault Rosé, and Writer’s Block Pinotage, alongside Da Luca Prosecco. Throughout the evening, Gerhard will share his expertise and stories, with a closer look at the wines and the craft behind them.

About the Winemaker
Flagstone’s Head Winemaker, Gerhard Swart, was raised in Strand and comes from an Overberg farming family. He earned his winemaking diploma in 1999 before training under Bruce Jack and Chris Keet, going on to lead the winemaking team at Flagstone.
Gerhard’s approach combines dedication, precision, and attention to detail, with a strong focus on innovation and creating distinctive wines.
His expertise has earned him the General Smuts Trophy twice, nine Top 10 Pinotage, five Top 12 Shiraz, three Top 10 Sauvignon Blanc, and three Top 10 Chenin Blanc Awards, as well as Top Achiever in the class for ten entries or fewer at the annual Veritas Awards.
