Suffolk Distillery, Stoke by Nayland (2-minute drive or 12-minute walk)
Step inside Suffolk’s new Gin Distillery, just a short walk from the Lodges. Have a go at crafting your own gin using fine botanicals in their gin laboratory or take part in a tour and tasting experience. You can also pick up a bottle of your favourite tipple to take home with you!
Orwell Lady River Trips, Ipswich (33-minute drive)
Discover Suffolk on a journey along the River Orwell, one of England’s most beautiful and historic rivers. River Stour Trips, Sudbury (22-minute drive)
There’s nothing more romantic than gliding across the River Stour in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with your loved one. The River Stour Trust offer a variety of cruises which allow you to take in the spectacular scenery from the water. The Henny Swan Lunch Cruise is a great option for couples, which includes a lunch stop at the lovely Henny Swan pub in Sudbury.
Dedham Boathouse (16-minute drive)
There is no better way to see the gorgeous rolling fields of Constable Country than by hiring a boat from Dedham Boathouse and rowing along the River Stour. Running through the Dedham Vale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the views along the river are spectacular with plenty of wildlife to see along the way.
